What to expect at a Uniting Church
The Uniting Church in Australia formed in 1977 from Methodist, Presbyterian and Congregational churches. Sunday services usually include hymns or contemporary songs, Bible readings, a sermon, prayers and sometimes communion, and last about an hour. Styles vary from congregation to congregation, and many run community programs during the week. Tea or coffee afterwards is common.
